These hinges cannot be heehaw installed -- follow instructions and load information when ordering and you'll have a effective operation on your double siwing doors.

Overall good product

I was pleased with how the product looks and works other than one of the hinges makes a terrible noise any time the door is moved. I will probably need to get a replacement and swithch that one hinge out. Otherwise they work very well.

We recommended silicone spray oil to help with the squeaking. Keep a rag handy and apply the lubricant sparingly, but in enough quantity to solve the problem. Ideally, if you have a helper one can carefully remove the cap and hold the spring tension with one of the long tension bars that should have come with the hinge. while the other applies the oil to the hinge. A good method for removing the hinge cap is to take a cloth(such as a glasses cleaner) and place that around the cap before using pliers to remove the cap. This will help protect from tooling marks during the process. Watch for drips and oozing. Replace the cap and let the tension loose carefully. Then open and close the door/hinge several times, working the lubricant in.
